Julia Turns "1"
On August 30th we celebrated in fine style on PEI. Julia loved her first Birthday cake. It has been a while since I last wrote but with School starting again it has been busy. I will post shortly some new pictures and some videos of our last month. Julia had her 12 month booster shots this week- It was hard on Mommy and Julia. We just spent the day with her "china" sisters- Aster and Poppy yesterday- doing a little shopping of course.
Dave plans on taking Julia to PEI this weekend for a little Daddy daughter time and I need some much needed Mommy Daughter time with Lauren. We plan to see a a movie and get out nails painted at a spa-can't wait. Iam sure we will also hit a mall somewhere along the way.
Julia is sleeping at nights now but still wakes often with crying but we have managed to be strong and let her cry it out. It is working. She slept from 9pm until 7am with no tears last night

THE PANGMAN'S IN BEIJING
Hi all - Great full day tour today of Beijing. Spent the morning touring the Summer Palace, then lunch and tour of the Pearl factory, then finally to the Bird's Nest and Tian an men Square. It was very hot and smoggy today - you can see in the pictures. Julia had her check up yesterday at the International SOS Clinic and was given a clean bill of health. We're enjoying our trip, but are excited to come home on Friday. Love Dave, Rosie and Julia
FROM WUHAN TO BEIJING
Papa Don apologizes for this late entry - we do have to look after Lauren you know!! Enjoy the updates - one more to come:
Hi all - We made it safely into Beijing very late Friday night. Julia is doing very well even with all the travel. We toured the Great Wall on Saturday. It was very hot and humid - about 38C, but I managed to hike up to one of the towers - a steep climb of about 300 steps. Here are some pictures. We have a free day today, so the girls went out shopping at the silk market. Julia and I are resting at the hotel.Miss you all.Dave, Rosie and Julia

JULIA ROSE ARRIVES - GOTCHA DAY!!
We met Julia for the first time yesterday. She is a gentle and happy little girl, who loves to be held. She is full of smiles and did not cry at all yesterday, even when she was handed over to us. She slept the whole night through in the hotel room last night. We are blessed to have such a happy and healthy little one.More pictures to follow...

DREAM GENTLE GIRL
Thanks to great friends of ours they were able to translate Julia's given name for us from the Chinese Characters. Her name translates to "Dream Gentle Girl". We pray her personality is a gentle as her name suggests! 2 more sleeps! Judi, Dave's mother is arriving today and Don is coming on Saturday. Lauren is starting to get a little sad. Her exact quote to us last night was. " I can't do this without you guys"- I said "Do What?" and what she explained was she just could not "be" without us loving her and giving her kisses good night. She made me tear up. She is very deep in her emotions and thinking.

The count down is on...
We are almost there... In 11 days we will be departing for China. We are getting excited. The latest we heard on Julia is that she is almost 17 lbs- a little small but not much different then the weight Lauren was at the same age. We are also told she has one tooth!
We will keep you all posted along the way.
So she will be exactly 11 months old on the day we arrive back in Canada. We will be celebrating her 1st birthday on August 30th
